Kindles are a great way to store lots of books in a small space. If you are taking your kindle to the shop I’d put it in a plastic sleeve to protect it from dust. Keep it out of the line of fire to the side of your lathe. (I don’t think a flying piece of wood and your kindle would work well together!)
